PISCES: the omega

Fishes are, in fact, multi-layered. But you wouldn’t reach that conclusion from the sign’s a-typical pop astrology descriptions that are shoved in your face. Let’s face it: not every Pisces is deeply emotional or mystical and spends his or her days pondering the pits of human suffering while striving to achieve a perfect state of grace. That type of Fish is the minority – – it exists, but it is rare (like AB blood type rare). So you’re not going to be running into him or her while shopping for sneakers…

Pisces truly needs the water of emotion, devotion, imagination, or all of the above to survive; or to, at the very least, feel important and valid. . . people of this sign aren’t endowed with an innate sense of self-assurance in themselves or their abilities. Instead, they gain confidence and a sense of meaning when they are entrusted to something or someone greater and more magnificent than themselves. And depending on the Pisces, who or what this splendid entity will vary. But it will most definitely provide some sort of oblivion and asylum.

I know Pisces wants both their identity and their unflattering flaws to be invisible, but the fact of the matter is: they aren’t. Fish are timid shapeshifters, unsuitable to handle unforgiving truths and unattractive reality (they get their vain, delicate outlook from Libra). But the more Pisces tries to stamp out and stifle the unpleasant facets of their life and personality, the stronger those adverse facets get.

3 excerpts from the 12th installment in my Zodiac Abstract anthology. And what is in Pisces: the omega?  Well, it is more than just a sun sign description book. My aim was to provide information pertaining to every Piscean placement (sun, moon, venus, mercury, mars, and the ascendant), while still making everything easy to read for both astrology newbies and devotees. Here’s a quick run-through of what you’ll encounter:

The first section I describe the physical characteristics and style preferences of Pisces. Following that is the GUTS section, where I describe every basic quality of the sign, how Fish think, speak, and act, and also what hobbies and occupations they are drawn to. Next I’ll explain the meaning of Pisces’ animal and planetary symbols by way of myths in the GLYPH section. Lastly, I expose the bad habits and negative expressions of the water sign’s aforementioned ‘good side’ in the GRIEF section.
