Holy cow! On May 11th, we have the fifth New Moon of 2021, and this New Moon takes place in fixed earth sign Taurus. This is the last manifestation moon before eclipse season (which starts May 26th). So, it’s definitely a lunation worth your attention.
If you haven’t heard it through the astrological grapevine (or the farmer’s almanac), New Moons are ideal days to plant seeds for growth. The lunations symbolize new beginnings, initiation, can bring about new opportunities, and just help us to start over. Each New Moon has a specific theme, which varies with each zodiac sign.
Taurus is an earth sign that loves money, food, and comfort. Taurus is also a sign of building and stability. So, the theme of the 2021 New Moon in Taurus is building a stable life of comfort. (At least, that’s how I interpret this lunation; other astrologers may do differently.)
There are seven other planetary transits on the 2021 Taurus New Moon, which is such a high number, I’m not sure I can explain what they all mean. (What am I, an astrology manual?). What I mean is, I don’t have time to go through them all. So, here’s a short list of them:
First, the Sun and Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces. Second, Mercury in Gemini is conjunct the North Node in Gemini (which is also sextile Chiron in Aries) and trine Saturn in Aquarius. Third, Mars in Cancer is sextile Uranus in Taurus and square Chiron in Aries. Lastly, Jupiter is in the anaretic degree of Aquarius.
There. That’s the short list of the other planetary transits occurring on the new moon.
