Yep, it’s that time of the month again. On July 13 at 2:39 EST, we have our seventh full moon of 2022. This July full moon, known as the Buck Moon, occurs in steady, enterprising earth sign Capricorn and it’s a major lunation for your goals, ambitions and entrepreneurial pursuits.
Six months ago, the Capricorn new moon had us thinking seriously about our career goals and ambitions. Now, it’s time to examine any (unrealistic and) unmet expectations for those goals and let that sh*t go. (After all, full moons are ideal days for release.)
The 2022 July full moon is a supermoon– the biggest and brightest supermoon of 2022– which gives it more oomph and more influence over those aforementioned Capricorn-ruled areas of your life. Really, the supermoon is a fitting trait for the Capricorn full moon, as the zodiac’s GOAT has a penchant for being BIG, both in its talent, ambitions and business dealings.
To prove my point, here’s a list of some BIG Capricorns: LeBron James, Donna Summer, Elvis Presley, Jeff Besos, and Steve Harvey. (OK, Steve Harvey might not be as big as those other names, but he does wear really BIG suits. Sooo…)
Venus is trine retrograde Saturn on this full moon, making it much easier to commit to a person, cryptocurrency investment or beauty look– like, say getting baby bangs (that one’s for me). However, the planet of love is also squaring off with Neptune, the planet of illusion, confusion and dissolution. This transit could create a fog about your self-worth, your investments and/or your beauty look–as in: Am I worthy of love? Why aren’t my crypto stocks selling? How is it that Spock can pull off baby bangs, but I can’t? etc.
Bonus: Mercury is connecting with Uranus and the North Node (both in Taurus), which could bring exciting news and/or an unexpected opportunity (Is it unexpected if I’m telling you about it? Hmmm…) You might also feel like a mad scientist or an uber psychic because Mercury sextile Uranus also magnifies your insight and intuition.
And while every sign will feel the enterprising energy of the Capricorn full moon, I’ve got a snazzy list of the zodiac signs who will feel it the hardest.
Wait. Wouldn’t you rather listen to your 2022 Capricorn full moon listicle? Of course you would! Which is why you should mosey over to my astrology podcast, Cosmic Chronicles. There you’ll find this here horoscope and much, much more. Ok. now you can keep reading.
1. Capricorn ♑
It’d be silly not to have you at the top of this list. Not only because this is YOUR full moon, but also because you’re always number one. (Seriously, you’re the G.O.A.T.) So, think long and hard about the things you want to achieve and figure out what the eff you need to do to make those goals a reality. As Law of Attraction zealot Jim Carrey would say: Visualize, Believe, MANIFEST…
2. Gemini ♊
The butting of heads between Venus and Neptune leaves you especially dazed and confused about your self-worth, your love life and your wallet. (This is because Venus is in your sign.) Like an open wound, you’re particularly vulnerable to the infection of distrust and deception– especially in your partnerships / crypto investments. Still, Venus trine Saturn should help steady your ever-wavering worries and do something creative/constructive with your time. Like, hyperfocusing on Amazon Prime Day…
3. Cancer ♋
Your ruling planet is the Moon and that makes you immensely more sensitive to full moons, but especially so with this supermoon. Business / romantic partnerships come to the fore, and you’re fretting over whether they serve your ambitions. It’s hard for you to let go of, well, anything, but it’s particularly challenging for you to release something you’ve worked on with someone else. Hey, if Elon Musk can do it with Twitter, so can you…
4. Pisces ♓
Neptune is your ruling planet, so the Venus square Neptune hits you like “Thor: Love and Thunder” hit theaters. Is it good? Is it bad? (According to Rotten Tomatoes, it’s both.) For you, it’s safe to assume your receptivity is heightened and your creative urges are pronounced. Problem is, this rush of inspiration causes confusion about what to create. In relationships, you might feel hella confused about or over-idealize your partner. So watch for that…
